I've officially given up on this team for this season. It's just not happening. They try, but they constantly blow games, and leads at home. They had all the play and simply don't have the mentality to go on with it.

This is the strangest time to give up, when the teams around them are terrible and losing every game.

Most of us gave up months ago.

Team has over 10m in 1 guy gets hurt and is done and the other seems to get shaky late in the period / game. Especially with a lead

Would be nice if Sorokin could ever come up with a crucial save in a big game. There is no way anybody could say an elite goalie gives up that 3rd and 4th goal. Just killed the team and any momentum they have. 4 goals on 19 shots once again not gonna get it done.

The games don’t get any easier from here on out. This Canucks team is very beatable, and the Isles just don’t have it. Constantly fail to bury good chances and their supposed superstar goalie does his usual ‘let down in big moments’ routine

Exactly. The Sorokin defenders will never acknowledge it but he has never come up big in important games or the postseason. Him being pulled tonight was well deserved.

He is very erratic. Capable of amazing stuff, but he is certainly mentally suspect as well.

This is absolutely the difference in the game. And in far too many games. Sorokin getting outplayed by non elite goalies. We were in complete control of this game and then he blew it. His rebound control, positioning and reflexes leave a lot to be desired.
