GDT: GDT #68 New York Islanders vs Montreal Canadiens | March 20th | 7:30 PM | F/OTW 4-3

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
It’s short sighted. He’s a 20 year old with 7 games experience. What is he going to do for us in that little amount of time? He won’t be the difference in making or not making it. Also, the playoffs I believe don’t count towards burning the year. He can come and spend time with the team, practice, get familiar with the organization, and familiar with the area. That’s a huge benefit in its self.
Thinking of Krug that year in Boston.

I don't get this one iota. The best way to build a team is trade everyone, suck, and get a bunch of top picks, like Buffalo and Edmonton and Detroit and Arizona and Montreal and Philadelphia and San Jose and Ottawa.

BuT What AbouT tAMpa BAy!!!!!
Edmonton be like: “what he say f*** me for?”

He came right into the team in the playoffs right? Didn’t play a regular season game? Yes it would be similar to that.
I wasn't exactly right, but close.......

Wow! I actually thought I remembered him signing out of college and going right to the playoffs. He played the whole season in the AHL and came up at the end for one game and then went to the playoffs full-time. And what the f*** how is he almost 34 years old I feel like that was just yesterday when that happened.

These are just their 1 OA picks above, plus these top 10 also.

Nurse 7 OA
Draisaitl 3 OA
Puljujarvi 4 OA
Broberg 8 OA
Bouchard 10 OA

That's 4 1st OA
and
5 top 10 picks and they still haven't won the f***ing cup!!!

People forget, it's hard to break a losing culture (see the Islanders)
