GDT: GDT #67 New York Islanders @ Pittsburgh Penguins | March 18th | 7:00 PM | F/4-2 W

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Guy wasn’t in crease. Sorokin was just out of it.

Kinda clear.
I think the whole issue with goalie interference is that it's very unclear what the actual rules are. If it were clear, almost nothing that gets challenged wouldn't be overturned because coaches wouldn't take the risk of going on the kill. I agree there were a few things working against us there though, even if there was contact

One thing that has been really awesome is that when Nelson was moved, it was obvious you had to move Palmieri too ('cause he's never produced with anyone on this team other than Nelson) and then seeing him not get moved and now watching him be as useless as tits on a bull for the 6 games since...

Yep, that's been pretty cool.

I would agree that Engvall has looked better lately and seems to like the line he is on. Tysp looks solid on that line as well. I know he is not playing but I would play Dobson and Romanov together as much as possible. Get these two 25 year olds as much time together and build towards next year. I for one would like to see another center called up like Liam Foudy. Would like to see him play with some decent talent around him and see if he can play at this level and perhaps decide if you can move CC or JGP at the draft. Use these games to evaluate the roster fully moving forward.

Good to see that he's clearly checking out these boards during intermissions...

Another big third period comeback; and Engvall playing his best hockey of the season the past couple of games. He has not looked out of place, and in fact looks better than a number of other forwards
