I am not not sure I have ever seen a game with one team getting 100% of every offensive and defensive bounce that could possibly happen, but this is pretty damn close. Every one of their goals was some kind of ridiculous deflection or own goal. We can control possession for two minutes and then they come down one time and it's in the net. We hit the post, they throw a blind puck out of the zone and it goes in the empty net. Sorokin was not sharp today though. There was a point in the second period where we were outshooting them 14-7 and they had 3 goals in the period.

Don’t worry. As soon as Nelson signs his extension it’s gonna give the whole team life and we’re gonna go on a run. I can feel it. This is finally the year this core gets it done. And if they don’t I think by the time Lee Nelson Palms Pelech Pulock and Pageau are all in their mid and late 30’s that this team is finally gonna take off. It doesn’t matter if they lose a step. Their experience and chemistry together will over come everything. By the time Lou celebrates his 102nd birthday, I think we’ll be in the finals. LGI!!

Huh? Wahlstrom got injured and was never able to get back to an NHL level. He's supposed to be a sniper and he has 10 points over his last 82 games. Oliver Wahlstrom is absolutely not an NHL player, like Kieffer Bellows before him.

Wahlstrom is a forward with 70 points over a 6 year career. Tony D has two 50 point seasons as a D man. Why are we comparing them?

Hey, you’re back - did you watch the recent winning streak? They got a ridiculous amount of luck, bounces, and being bailed out by stellar goaltending.

Since we’re mentioning SOG, how about that 2-1 win against VGK getting pummeled 34-14 in shots.

There is a little bit of a difference between shots and getting luck on almost every single goal. Besides the empty net goal, which was also really lucky, I am pretty sure 4 of the 5 Wild goals were going wide and deflected in or shot in by our own team.

We used to laugh at Cappy's generic "we didn't get the bounces" explanation for a loss, but it's true for this game.

yeah me too, and I bought a jersey on opening night after he scored the goal lol. groin injury for a speedster gotta be tough, I'm hoping for a bounce back next year or else I'm just out $300

You understand that intentional tips, which is how the Wild scored, are on purpose right? That's a set play they're trying out and that's why those two goals looked very similar. A lucky deflection is the DeAngelo one, but he should've just caught that puck instead of doing whatever the f*** he was doing. If it hits something unintentionally, that's lucky. If it's a tip that the player is trying to get then it isn't.

Are you seriously blaming Wahlstrom's career arc on injury? He had zero hockey sense before he came to the NHL and he's has zero hockey sense now.

The comparision between him and DeAngelo is that they both have above average talent - But it's their (lack of) brains that keep them from reaching their potential on a consistent basis. For Wahlstrom it's because he's not smart. For DeAngelo it's because he's a punk and has some level of Ho-Sangitis.

Point is...Doesn't matter the reason you don't make it in the NHL. Could be a lack of talent. Could be a lack of heart. Could be a lack of smarts. DeAngelo doesn't have it, so you shouldn't be surprised when he turns back into a pumpkin.

What about the one going 3 feet wide and deflected off DeAngelo completely accidentally and goes in? And then the one he shot in his own net? The Wild did nothing good to make those goals happen. Those two goals were the difference in the game.

His 0 hockey sense had him on a 40 point pace in the NHL playing 12 minutes a game in 2 of his first 3 seasons when he couldn't legally drink a beer. Yes, I think a huge injury had an effect on his trajectory as an NHL player.

As for Deangelo, I'm not arguing with you and I'm not a fan of his reputation. I am fully aware that players that we got for free don't account for some "Lou Masterclass" or whatever... we got them for free for a reason. What I am saying though is that I like a bigger sample size before I get mad. Pretty sure Romanov has shot the puck into the net a couple of times, he's turning out ok. I won't be surprised if Tony D doesn't work out, but I'm not going to crucify him for one game.

I don’t think he likes him. We see that when he doesn’t like a guy they ride pine. Multiple scratches now too

Someone asked him post game and he very much dismissed the question about his ice time too
 
TDA has been pretty good since we signed him, I'm not writing him off for a bad game.

I mean he's not a top D man in the league, but he's been pretty darn good for us so far.
