GDT: GDT #42 New York Islanders @ Utah Hockey Club | January 11th | 9:00 PM | F/2-1 W

When was the last time we saw the Isles fighting like this for a win? This is all Roy. Usually they would be retreating hoping the other team would cough up the puck. Love how everyone’s driving to the net and the D taking all those shots. Keep it up boys!!!

Great win, unreal that this is our first 3 game win streak of the year. Not good enough

Just about every team in the east got points tonight too besides Pitt

The aSseT ManAgEMeNt thing to do is trading Varlamov and keeping Hogberg
Yup- but my guess is there is zero market for Varly. Old, often injured, avg to below avg and very overpaid for two more years after this one. It was a bad deal when it was signed and looks worse every year

The Isles control their own fate now. Things are looking good. They will be just fine.

Solid win. Only able to watch the third period but the effort seems to be there. I can't root for losses but I would certainly be glad to eat my hat if this team makes the playoffs. Certainly enjoying this win streak and most importantly, so are the players.

If after watching just this last few games, when we see a healthy Barzal skating around the ice like no one could catch him, and you still think he's not the game breaking player he clearly is you are completely blind.

Third best save percentage in the league last year. Cut him.

This team is pathetic. They should still sell and a three game winning streak compared to the last four seasons of mediocrity should not change anyone's mind on selling.

I only saw the last 10 mins of the third, but they looked fast, decisive, and cohesive. Different than most of the season to date. The PK and 6 on 5 though still looked ridiculously bad, and I think they were real lucky not to allow a goal. Hoping to not allow a goal is not a viable strategy. Better to be lucky than good?

But whatev. <shrug>
