Said this the other day. THIS top unit is either really good or really bad on any given PP. It's been more good than bad lately. As long as it stays that way, just create a 2nd unit with returning guys, including Malkin. Start whichever unit is fresher. If it's a tie, then Sid's unit. Make Malkin first change (or Sid first change when Malkin's unit starts).

Won't work that way, of course . . .

That sounds like all Penguins PP units, not just this one.

Creep back into it. It’d be nice to get another one before periods end

McCann on the PP again.

He leads the team.

And I was told he's too "indecisive" or something. You were wrong.

Do not take him off PP1.
Tbf, he looks like a totally different player this season. He’s a much better skater, and not as reluctant to use his shot.

I’m a little behind but that pass by Dumo to Rust was a beauty.

2 great looks,

look don't worry anymore about Pens playing the right way, lets just hope that goaltending is there and a bit of puck luck

Actually, you need all three if you hope to go anywhere in the playoffs.

Kreider is that nice mix of shit-disturber and quality production winger. Has great speed too.

And Adam Fox is quickly becoming an absolute stud. Lots of reason to worry about this Rangers team in the near future.

ive said that for a decade now... do you realize the advantage you have when you can put a two supreme power play units out... especially if the first unit plays a short shift then gets put right back out after the power play ends and all their best defense guys are spent

The problem is no coach knows how to manage it, perhaps because the answer to a Sid unit and a Geno unit PP is obvious . . . fresher unit starts and from whichever unit doesn't start, Sid or Geno changes first.

IF they did it now-- and they won't-- my 5 man Malkin unit would be Malkin, Kap, Zucker, Ceci, Matheson.
