Nice to get the win; definitely thought they outplayed the Bruins for most of it. Sorokin with a big save at the end, and Horvat squeaks one in. Entertaining game for sure, despite the blown lead

While the Isles went downhill after Lee's second of the night early in the third, started by 2 by Pastrnak, followed by the Bruins having the puck for most of OT, great for Horvat to pounce on the loose puck, get a breakway, and score the game winner on Korpisalo for the Isles; 5-4 win.

One thing that was abundantly clear from this game is that Nelson and Palmieri need to go.I actually think they’re dragging the team down with their play. Brutal - both of them

Why not Lee hat trick?

Winning season or losing seasons, every team goes through them.

And I’d be lying if I said it’s not sad seeing the magic leave these boards last couple years

Not in the same stratosphere and seeing the magic leave the actual team these last couple of years.

You want "magic" back on these boards, the improve the team. And you want to improve the team...Improve the GM.

1 win a week trend continues.

Second to last place in the East. Sell, reload, and Islanders fan James Hagens

Just enough for Lou to continue on the "business as usual" course?

Another blown 3rd period lead

When it was 4-2, I thought, "Well, the way this game is going, this should get us to OT".

Just seen this story told too often over the past 2.5 seasons.

How bad would NYI be if Anders Lee weren't having a career year as a 34 y/o? The difference between this year and last year is unbelievable.
If we can only get the rest of the lazy ass bums to put in the off-season work and to actually come in well conditioned and ready to play.

If that's all it takes to keep the seats full then it's fine. Meanwhile keep gunning for that top draft pick. I think however the Isles do another late season squeak into the playoffs because hey it's Roy. Anything can happen in the post season so why not go for it?

I think they have to test the market for him. If they can unload him and get something of value I think they have too. They are desperate for a change in leadership. Could be an opportunity to reset.
