And when Jack Adams Coach Roy went 7-0-1 the last 8 games of the season to will the Islanders into a playoff spot and lost to the Carolina Hurricanes 1-4 was he not with a team outperforming their talent? Trotz Islanders got swept by the Hurricanes the first year he was on the Island and he had a full year to develop his system of play as opposed to the 35 games Roy had to establish his game plan. In other words some of you are overstating the impact Trotz had on this team and underestimating what Roy has done on the Island given the state of affairs he was thrown into. But besides that it’s the fickleness and hypocrisy with some fans that show on these boards. One day Lou brings stability and the greatest GM we were fortunate to obtain the next day he’s the worse GM ever. Even though I remember warning many about Lou’s tendencies.

As soon as the team shows a slide backwards with a likely cause partly due to injury it’s oh let’s blow up the team and fire the coach. We go through a merry go round of coaches and it doesn't matter who is hired restless Islander fans want him fired yesterday. Everyone should just calm down.
