At $4M it would be pathetic. At $9.2M it's criminal.

And if that weren't bad enough, whatever the retro mojo Lee had going on while Barzy was out seems to have disappeared now that he's back. Hmm.
Lee became invisible in Chicago.

Not even a thanks for watching goal?

When will Roy say something about Lou?
When he wants to be put out of his misery.

How are we doing with the "respectability" and "relevance" that Lou supposedly brought back to the Island. We still ok there?
It’s going back the other way.

i am here in Raleigh...and not a chance i was going to torture myself in person...at home is bad enough.
I'm here in Raleigh and I did torture myself. What a completely uninspired, uncaring performance. This team is horrific, and they know it. Honestly, Malkin should pull the trigger now. Hire a new GM, let him bring in a coach, and then start the roster sell off. Pathetic.

They absolutely did not try tonight. No physical contact, no emotion, nothing.
Right on. I try to be as optimistic as possible, but what a pathetic effort.

I know they’re not but they play like they are daring the GM or Owner to do something.

If that's the way you see it then I honestly don't think you appreciate how far outmatched and not talented this roster is.
I do appreciate how untalented this team is, but that doesn't explain lack of effort. Either way, they're toast. Blow it up and start from scratch.

Usually if you're being outworked you don't outshoot the other team. Takes a bunch of effort to do that.

That said totally agree this cannot continue and a massive youth movement is necessary ASAP (before Lou resigns everyone into their late 30's).

Just watching the player interviews after the game....the only emotion vibe i get coming from them is that they are defeated and have accepted that this is the way it will continue to be. It is almost the opposite of a coach losing a locker room...not sure what to call that....i really do not get the feeling they care one way or the other and their attention to detail on the ice shows it.

OH.....and i shut it off after the second....truly has been a long time since i shut off a game.

Roy trying to instill a modern upgraded system with Lou's obsolete players. Good luck with that. But that's 2 points closer to a better draft pick so there's that to be happy about.

That's if he doesn't trade the pick. Which he's done in the past.

The fact that were losing doesn't bother me anymore, I figure it gets us one step closer to Lou gone. But then I think that the latter may not be true and that really makes my blood boil. They're just going to let him sit there and eat his cottage cheese while Rome burns. A latter day Nero. Hell, I can't even enjoy the Raggies implosion while this state of affairs exists. Well, maybe a little.

Gonna have to endure these remaining games I guess. The rope is at the end for this core. Appreciate your service fellas to the crest but we're gonna get new blood in here soon enough. Lgi. Turn the page already

Isn’t this kinda the same roster when some were saying we were one or two players away ?
The roster Lou inherited was a fine core to work with but he brings in Engvall, Wally, Pageau and now Horvat is not looking like no so great acquisitions given what they gave up for them. These are not bad players but they don’t match up with what Roy is trying to accomplish. Gets rid of Leddy, Beau, Eberle and that other D man whose name escapes me and these are exactly the kind of players better suited for a modern system. It’s all Lou’s doing. Has this restored respectability to this team? It’s a joke. Hate to say it but his predecessor was much better at building a team.

This team is playing dejected right now. The team is not as bad as they have been doing lately but all these losses due to injuries play with their psyche. The team if it gets its mojo back can absolutely make the playoffs. Will that be worth it? I think so and there’s always that slight though very slim chance they could win it all after that. I’m just going to look for the silver lining in all of this.

For all the whining about him, Patrick Laine is making a lot of the anti-Laine people here look foolish . . . certainly would be a big help on this offense.

I know it's easy to say in hindsight, but when I saw that we'd be playing Carolina last night, my first thought was, "We'll be lucky to even score one goal."

Combining the current state of the team with the fact that we've basically been Carolina's b$%&§ for half a decade, I just didn't expect anything else.

To me just one of the easiest bets you could make. I just couldn't make it even though it meant free money.
