What happened? I passed out after the first

Holmstrom continued to make fun of the poster who calls him an AHL tweener

Ryan Day encouraged Will Howard to transfer to Stracuse

Sophie Marceau continued to ignore me

Dobson shouldn't be on the ice in the late stages of a close game. He's too weak defensively. Notice that it was Pulock, Mayfield, Romanov, Hutton for basically the last 4 minutes of the game.
Pretty bad look for Dobson when you are losing assignments to Grant Hutton.

I would love to trade this guy for someone like Jason Robertson.

The difference between Lee's offensive play this year vs. last year is huge. Hard to know whether it is just a matter of recovery from his surgery or something else.

At the point where George is it is equally as important to be able to sit and see how true vets handle situations than play a max amount of minutes every game. Similar to how I have always felt about Holmstrom I am unsure about what his potential is but he is certainly a NHLer.
Checking the TOI from last night, George was cut back to 13 minutes. The work load was more spread out among the D. I think Roy should go with 7 defensemen again on Tuesday in Montreal.

Hutton is a better defensive defenseman than posters here give him credit for. It was the right move during a time when 2 regular defensemen are out with long term injuries.

Now if Dobson was losing assignments to Dennis Cholowski….:sarcasm:

Lee worked out in the offseason with Adam Oates. He knew he had to make some changes in himself to be more than a fading NHLer.

Yeah, I heard that. But it's kind of hard to believe that a month or two of skill training in the offseason would make such a huge difference for a pro veteran player. Amazing if that's what did it.

I can’t wait until the day you put some respect on CholoCop’s name. :sarcasm:

The training clearly helped Lee develop more characteristics that you tend to see more naturally from “skill players”.

Little moments in our game: How you pick up the puck, how you handle it, you control your body,” Lee said. “And the second I got back on the ice with him, I just felt this is something I really liked and really needed. I feel really good about it.”

Yep. And I think Cholowski was even out there for the final shift of the game.

If I had the choice between watching a middling team tread water or a team developing through youth; I still go with the latter.

In that vein, Holmstrom looks very good.

Between Holmstrom's ascent and now George's surprise showing while giving Cholowski one last real crack at a regular shift, it's getting hard to categorize us solely as a middling team treading water.

What are things gonna look like when Barzy, Duke, Pelech, Pageau, and Engvall are all ready for action again?
