With DVR and streaming services I have been able to consistently follow the Isles over the years.

This year I have already missed more games than I have in the past twenty. Even if I can watch it on delay, I often don’t.

I didn’t even bother to see if there was a game last night. Just checked the scores this morning and watched the recap for the laughs.

Since last year I have increasingly become disinterested in the Isles and the NHL in general. Maybe a major change would get me interested again, but I’m not so sure…

This will probably be taken the wrong way and it’s not meant to be complimentary to either team but I had more fun watching the Doug Weight Isles than this squad.

Dobson should not be here next year. I don't mean season. I mean January 2025. Atrocious.

Caps are one of the best offensive teams in the league. Why have three suspect defenders in the line-up? George is having his ups and downs as expected but how do we get caught with George, Dobson, Faschng and Martin out there together at the 15 minute mark of the 3rd? Coaches unraveling?

Holmstrom continues to impress.

Wahlstrom as useless as Fasching. Pathetic watching him get run down from behind like a crippled zebra. After Roy's comments I figured he was the scratch. They said it was Martin during the broadcast before JGP went down. Rather have 7 D.

Lee was completely out of gas. Why does he start the OT?
This was when I really started to question Roy. Lee had a great game in regulation but he is not made for 3 on 3 OT where a single mistake even by a good skater could be the end of the game. He looked lost out there. He could barely move, didn't seem to know what to do and basically lost the puck multiple times when we could have had possession. Why would Roy have him out there to start an OT?

Dobson is just weak. Mentally and physically. The way he’s been exposed since the beginning of last season tells me teams know how to play him.

Paying Dobson 70 point player money will be egregious. He’s barely making his coin now. He’s probably cost the Isles 7+ points so far this season. He’s been a routine piece of the never ending losing games when having the lead.
He has been shockingly bad. I think if somebody told us he was going to regress this season we probably would have thought that meant like 60 points and still trying to figure things out defensively. There is no way anybody could ever have imagined that meant being on pace for 35 points and being an absolute train wreck defensively to the point where he has easily (and I mean this is a conservative estimate) cost us 3-4 wins.

The Dobson downward spiral arc has been extremely sad. It's all the more painful with the expectations after last season

The third period collapses are becoming laughably predictable.
I truly have not seen anything like it in my time as a sports fan. In barely a quarter of a season, this team has thrown away 8-10 points blowing a lead in the last 3-5 minutes of a game. It is unfathomable how they can keep doing this game after game. If the team literally had five guys just stand around the net like guards and never move with a lead in the third period they would have a better chance than the crap they are doing out there every third period. You would almost think it was intentional. That is how absurd it is.
