I always find it weird that the Habs never really seem interested in the draft. Just constantly trading down and trading for future picks and never trading up.

It rarely pays to move up. But we did do it for Jared Tinordi

Not sure Nadeau has the wheels to ever play in the NHL. Kostenko will be playing in KHL next year and on the Russian WJC team.

I always find it weird that the Habs never really seem interested in the draft. Just constantly trading down and trading for future picks and never trading up.

The interesting thing is that behavioural economics in sports has shown that it is basically never profitable to trade up and trading down is almost always worth it because the draft has such a low % of success so getting more picks always gets you more useful players.

The NHL entry draft is usually a good read. For our drafted prospects, @montreal is definitely one of the most informed, especially for US-based prospects.
