Honest question how many teams that did a full tear down re-build win a cup in the last 15 years?

So is that an argument to keep doing this the same?


Also not sure what your definition of e "full tear down is," but if you look at teams that circle around the Cup, much less win it, they are littered with guys taken at the very top of drafts - The kind of picks you only get if you truly suck.

I mean ya they look better. Dallas also sitting on a 2 goal lead. And they still haven’t scored. When the isles were good this is what they did to teams. Now it happens to them.

At least we are getting shots, still like the improvements playing East west and opening up more lanes, that whole side of things looks much improved. The problem is outside of the top line they are slow and turn the puck over so much.

Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Washington. Kinda want to include Tampa on the list too, Stamkos was the beginning of a big reset for them. Maybe Avs too. All these teams got elite centerpieces as a result of being total garbage for at least one year.

If we’re talking about teams who have recently torn down, I think the Devils could break out but depends on goaltending and health. Edmonton obviously always a threat as long as they have McDavid and Drai.

Team looked pretty good I thought. Not good enough to stay up late watching the Colorado game but they played neck and neck with Dallas.

This is a one line team. In this game the top li e didn’t get the room they meed to operate and their just not enough finish in the rest of the sticks.

Frustrating for sure - played pretty well against a cup contender, but Ottinger was great and a few breakdowns end up in the net. Couldn’t capitalize on a few good chances. Gotta be honest though, I’ve seen nothing from Duclair to suggest he is an upgrade on that line.
