Yeah, he’s trying to perpetuate the narrative that this is a good team getting unlucky - they weren’t good before the injuries, let alone now. I’m trying to save him some frustration.
Do we lack finish yes. But we have outshot and out chanced almost every opponent. We were top 8 in the NHL expected goals for last I saw. Yet we have the least amount of goals in the NHL. There has to be some bad luck involved with stats like that.

There is a combination of both. Have you seen some of the bounces that go against this team?

It’s true good teams make their own luck, but the hockey gods have not been too kind for a few season.

Latest example the rangers fourth goal.

The “hockey gods” angle is for people who can’t admit their team isn’t as good as desired.

If that makes you feel better…

For a “normal” (non-Lou) team, getting good play from soon to be UFAs like Nelson and Palmieri is pretty promising for trade value.

Dobson's demise from highly promising creative defence man to stumblebum is bizarre.
For most of last season he looked great. Then he dropped right off.
This season he's been awful.
His ability to set up offence has disappeared.
Doing nothing on PP and his point shots are innocuous, almost always straight along ice.
Fumbling puck regularly and passing straight to opposition too often.
Baffling regression.

Agree.

I’ve just had it with this team. Absolutely zero to be optimistic about.
The frustrating thing is there are not any reinforcements coming. This is the team. No one at the Bridge to jump in and spark this team.

Oh well at least we have Sorokin to marvel at

Hey Ledecky and Malkin

You see what the Rangers have? You see how fast they are? You see how skilled and actually good they are? YOU should voucher for that! Tell that old loser Lamoriello to pack his bags and leave. Clean house. I

If we gave a chance of getting spanked by Carolina in the 1st round Lou will go all in
And we'll get swept like the 1993-1994 series against the Rangers! but hey, UBS arena hosts two more playoff games and we can sing kumbaya because Matt Martin is still here and we are loyal to players who would be on garbage teams!

Let's calm this down a bit. The all powerful skilled Rangers allowed us to have 40 shots while missing 2/3 of our top line and 3 of our top 6 men.

Getting away from golf season but still plenty of fun events at the country club for the boys!
this time with less of the incentive to attend games, longer walks to the parking lot, a shitty shopping center that might as well kick you out for using the garabge, and a team that will screw itself out of Hagens, Misa and McQueen! Islanders hockey! We wanted to be the Mets of hockey but when the Wilpons owned them! look forward to our next free agent deal in 2031!
