Watching #14 jersey flapping on the ice always gives me chills and bring so many happy memories. I worked summers where Bob, Janice, Jeff and Justin spent their off season (and I now live there permanently). Saw Bob be a loving dad to his sons (and yes, I’ve read JBs book, that’s not an issue).
Used to be disappointed that his number wasn’t retired with the other Islander Dynasty greats but then I realized it’s even a greater honor to have it still in circulation so that his memories can fly every night out on the ice.
The Pride of Netherhill still flies.
