Encouraged by our recent success, I attended my first game of the season.
I've seen a lot of Blues games in person over the years, but this was one of the worst. We were substantially outplayed. Minnesota was faster, more alert, better on the boards, more accurate in their passing, and better with their sticks.
Fabbri and O'Reilly were the only Blues that stood out in a positive way.
Schenn had a chance for a shot on goal at the end of the period, fired the puck, missed the goal, put his head down, and skated to the tunnel with his head still down. Was he feeling shame?
I'm hoping the Blues feel shame. That was am embarrassing defeat.
