Don't blame him tbh. Sens kinda f***ed him over with the contract offer as the suspension happened. I could see an offer sheet evening going into 1st 2nd 3rd territory

Pinto camp gambling that putting their chips on the table creates some urgency. Betting on his agents ability to negotiate what could be a tricky deal to get done.

I just hope this QO creates a troll war between the Sens and whoever (Canes, is it you again, or have you learned your lesson?)
Pinto would actually be the type of player they said they were looking for at the end of season interviews (righty C.)

But even then Carolina doesn't have their 2025 3rd round pick. Which means no offer sheet between 4.58M and 11.45M AAV.

If someone makes a 4 year offer, then Pinto would be a UFA at the end of the contract. For a team like OTT that's still building, that's something to weigh re: whether to match or not.

How often do you hear about a player looking to sign an offer sheet? That's interesting.
He screwed himself with the suspension and I’m guessing Ottawa wants to bridge him. He probably wants a 5-6 year deal with more security and gives him a shot at a bigger payday in his late 20s.

Match it then send him to Siberia at the earliest opportunity. It's just a business right.

Interesting to see if it happens, OS option is so dumb, not sure if I ever seen one go well.

Just trade him home and we’ll send you back playoff legend JGP in return.
