Games tonight affecting Sens

Have been told to keep an eye on my blood pressure the coming days.

Would a doctor buy the excuse of the NHL being the reason for altered blood pressure?
It can't be because you're following the Sens we apparently are playing boring games.

If you have a doctor from TO or MTL he might be the one with blood pressure.

Feels like another big night tonight.

Rangers and Boston

Edmonton and Toronto

Tampa and Islanders

Calgary and Detroit

and because I'm sure they don't want to feel left out...

Pens and Preds (lol)

Sens loss and wins to everyone else that matters would leave us:

- 6 behind the Leafs
- down 1 to Tampa
- tied w/ Boston for WC2
- 1 up on Detroit

Minny is on a 3 game win streak, 5-5-0 in their last 10. Unsure who we'll be up against tonight - Gus has a .914 SV% and 2.77 GAA, 2-3-0 in his last 5 starts. Flower has a .908 SV% and 2.83 GAA, 3-2-0 in his last 5, so we'll be up against a good goalie regardless.

Yay!

Looking at scoring chance location and quantity Utah was the clear favorite. I can’t understand how the jackets keep winning games like this. It’s mind boggling when comparing to Sens. Hopefully luck catches up with them.

Between games they are clearly outplayed and win and their SO win percentage they don’t seem like a deserving team but somehow are the top threat to the top wild card spot, which is realistically where i expect Sens to finish. (I think Tampa will recover and reclaim that 3rd spot).
Their top line is good: Volonkov, Fantilli, Marchenko (it was Monahan at center before his injury). Werenski is one the league’s best defenders (a Norris candidate this year). Chinakhov (has been injured for a bit) & Kent Johnson seem to have emerged. Their goaltending was an issue earlier in the season but that has swung around.

I guess they are still under the radar for some especially for those that don’t focus on the other NHL teams outside of their home team.

I have a hard time cheering against the Jackets this season. There's some magic to their run.

What is important is that Boston, Detroit and Montreal lose.

Washington, Carolina, Florida, New Jersey are the only locks for the playoffs IMO

Tampa Bay and Toronto should be too and Ottawa is getting close to that distinction but due to zero experience in recent past, we can't pencil them in. So IMO it will be between Ottawa, Columbus and the Rangers. If you give me the choice, then the Leafs would miss lol it would be fun to read the main boards after

It's nice to see Boston finally regress. Hopefully still early for Montreal and that Detroit remains a bubble team so as long as it stays like that, we are in a 5 teams race for 4 spots.

With Monahan injured have to expect them to take a step back but Fantilli has looked unreal since he took his spot.

Jenner is supposed to play soon and I’m guessing Chinakov will be back soon too so they could surprise….

They’ve had subpar goaltending all year too it’s impressive to say the least

Werenski is one of the best NHL players this season. He'll get Hart votes IMO.

They are welcome to that third spot. We're taking the division baby.
