It's the perfect season to "break out" for Ottawa this year, There's maybe 5-6 really good teams in the East and we're just behind. If we improve just enough (by scoring more naturally), we could start entering the conversation.

It's crazy how many teams we still have to keep an eye on for the standings.

Boston, Montreal, Detroit, Rangers.

And well, every Atlantic team except Buffalo. We're just not used to it anymore lol

Wowww perfect day for us with all them losing today it like a god blessing. Tamps lost the edge they had on us with 1 pts behind and only 1 game in hand now. 2 gamrs in hand on Boston too. Perfect night for us!

Before the season started I had Florida, Boston and Toronto solidly in a playoff spot and Tampa in a wildcard. I’m not that surprised to see Tampa take a bit of a fall here. They don’t have that much depth and they really go as Kucherov and Point go. Their bottom 6 is average, and they have Darren Raddysh playing top pairing. They’ve got great pieces and they’ll definitely make it (and very likely 3rd in the Atlantic going forward) but they aren’t as deep as they’ve been in the past.

Now to say that we are right there with them at this stage of the season is unbelivable.

That trip through Florida is going to be season defining. Truthfully there may not be a more important 3 game stretch left on the schedule. If we want to prove we belong with the big boys in the east coming out ahead in that stretch is going to be key.

And the Habs are for me what the Leafs are for most Sens fans, I don't want them to do well. I have nothing against the Leafs, I was even a Leafs fan in the Potvin days which was the reason I became a hockey fan (him and Bure)! I was also a big Blue Jays fan, I remember Joe Carter's winning homer run like if it was yesterday!
