Games Tonight Affecting Sens

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Things have been really breaking well for us, but none of these games have much of an impact on our playoff chances. The biggest one tonight is Pens v Panthers which has a 1/100 in terms of importance to our playoff chances. It's a 2% point swing on whether we get WC1 or Div 3 spot.

We need to win 6-7/13 games to guarantee making the playoffs. 5/13 and a little bit of helped and we get in. 4/13 and we still have a 70% chance of making the playoffs.

The games against CBUS will be most important, but we have an 8 point lead on them right now. They've also been struggling hard in the last 10, most of the team below us have been which has made the path to the playoffs much wider.

Assuming we go 7-6 in the remaining games with all our wins in regulation, and we don't care about how the Habs do.

This is the record all teams below us will need in order to surpass us (In this scenario, Boston, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Buffalo cannot surpass us no matter what):

Rangers: 9-1-1 (Only team in which we lose the tiebreaker to if tied in points).
Islanders: 10-2-1 (Isles will have to get more points than us since we have the tiebreakers win).
BJs: 11-1-1 (Same here, BJs need to get more points than us).
Red Wings: 11-0-2 (Lol, RW cannot lose in regulation again).

Detroit has been done for a while. Not even paying attention.
Habs have one regularion loss in the last month.

Since 4 nations :

1. St. Louis 11-2-2
2. Montreal 9-1-4
3. Colorado 10-3-1
......
10. Ottawa 8-4-1
......
12. Toronto 9-5-1
......
16. NYI 7-5-2
......
18. NYR 7-7-2
......
27. Columbus 5-7-1
......
31. Detroit 4-9-1

Most points since the 4 Nations break :

1. Suzuki 20 pts
2. McDavid 19 pts
4. Matthews, Nylander, Patrick Kane, etc 18 pts
36. Stutzle, Marner, etc 14 pts
47. Slafkovský, DeBrincat, etc 13 pts

Habs are the team of destiny this year

Bottom 10 team on paper but everything is going right for them

Like 2021? Why again!

They need to add a button to Tankathon that simulates the final standings. It doesn't even have to be scientific where it makes complete sense, just plug in those BS probabilities from that other stats site and let me click a button to get some stress relief.
