I try to post the stats every game. You're clearly being snarky and sarcastic for no reason about the stats after basically every losing game. Some people, like me, find them interesting. You don't have to agree with them nor consult them if you don't want to.

The metrics aren't perfect, but they're far from random. I did a post a few months back and if I remember correctly the team won about 2/3rds of the games where they won the xGF% battle this year.

That answers a question Ive wondered about. That 2/3rds number sounds high lately though. Must say some people act like that number is gospel or something

the good thing is however - the unintended benefit - that Blackwood is never seeing the ice in the playoffs after this. If Vanacek needs relief at any point it’s going to be Akira. I have to believe that this game has that effect. Even the Washington announcers were saying how out of position and inept Blackwood was playing

Just looked it up. We've won the xGF% battle 59 times so far this year. We've won 39 of those games. Exactly 66%.

That’s right - it’s Akira all the way. Blackie has had his shot these last two weeks. He may back up Vitek but will never see the ice. If anyone starts a game besides Vanacek it’s going to be Schmid.

I thought I heard at some point it was just us and Toronto that have yet to be shut out, meaning if Toronto has been or is tonight shut out, that will leave us as the only team in the NHL this year.
