I'd rather face the Rangers anyway, but that franchise record would have been nice. But if they lose big tonight, maybe they'll at least come motivated and ready to play in the playoffs.

Sure can. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mac in game 2 if they lose game 1. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 4957295058 times, shame on me.
There is a difference between giving him endless chances when you were A) out of it the previous two years or B) have at least a 95% chance to make the playoffs for most of this season as opposed to a do or die situation. Lindy wants to win and needs a big playoff run to get another contact, he’s not going down with Blackwood at this point unless management forces him to

This is one of the FUNNIEST moments in Devils history for me.

Only BECAUSE he turned to reveal PONIKAROVSKY on the back of the jersey. Like, I think I saw the nameplate before I saw the 12, so I never expected that to be the jersey he came out in.

The story is that somebody loaned it to him to put on that night. Must have been a pretty big fan to have a Ponikarovsky jersey.

NOW, with having said that. I meant no offense as I had no idea. Language is hard sometimes and there are so many words! Ho, oh my, you should see my Genucel outtake reels.

Depends on whether they go down with the ship or go legacy hunting for titles elsewhere

Ovechkin will, part of me thinks Sid asks to be traded if it comes to that. Wouldn't be surprised if the Avs rumors heat up eventually with his friendship with MacK

Brendan Smith has the offensive awareness of a guinea pig. I don't mind him on the back end but it is what it is lol.

Pretty sure he had an eye injury which contributed to that.
He did

I think it happened in game 2 or 3 of the first round and he was in and out of the lineup after that a couple times, before coming back for good in the SCF.
