You still need to sign him. For me, trading away player/pick for him, only for him to become an FA, is still not smart management. After Carlson retires or playing at the end of his career, Caps don't really have an offensive d-man like Chychrun.

Crosby is a great player that is in year 20 right and you didn't like him...I guess that's understanable cause you're a Caps guy but hey I hated other teams but not the great players that make this Sport the Greatest in the World bar none

They have the horses and depth almost everywhere...not sure the Defense will stand up if there are injuries but I guess they can always trade for one at the deadline just in case

A bit debatable. Pens build their teams to win Cups, so they hold to high standard. Sullivan is being kept because it was ownership/management that decided to give new contracts to Crosby/Malkin/Letang, plus not trade Karlsson. The coaches that have been fired over the years for the Pens, were warranted and I would say maybe partial to what Crosby wanted/said to ownership/management.
