McDavid needs to add some physicality to his game. He's always poking at pucks from the outside of a puck battle. Once he adds grit like Crosby did, he'll be unstoppable. Does he even have single hit in this game?

I don't wholly disagree, but his style of play is fundamentally different than Crosby's and it always will be.

I'm amused at the idea that calling a penalty there would be "controlling the game". Mike Johnson today on Oilers Now mentioned that if they called all the slashes that happen, there'd be "50 powerplays a game, and no one wants to see that." As if the onus to avoid the infraction doesn't exist in the first place.

What a dolt. If a game had 50 power plays in it, the players wouldn't be doing all that **** next game, and there'd be far less. Apparently logic doesn't exist for some people.

Probably a bit of both. Sid went thru the same thing in his rookie season, and at least his sophomore season, as well. It shouldn't be that way, but it's just the way it is.

People called Sid a "whiner" for complaining about non-calls, but he actually had a legit beef, and people just like to be haters. Look at all the Oiler haters on this site just because we got McDavid, basically.
