We should keep Matthews and Marner separated during 5 on 5. They seem to revert back to fancy shmancy play that isn’t working.
Otherwise keep it up boys and don’t get too caught up with the rat anymore. His only contribution is getting under their skin, don’t even give him that. Let him be completely useless.

That wasn't great from Sammy but he's saved three or four really good opportunities today. Worth remembering the good with the bad.

The officiating... yeah, I was going to say it has been better this series than in the past, but there's that Boston bias we all know. Zero chance a Leaf could ever do what McAvoy did to Matthews or Marchand's retaliatory slash to Bertuzzi and not get called. It's a joke.

Nice irrelevant comment. The issue is the consistent lack of a standard that teams like Boston always exploit. Commit a million blatant penalties and it evens out, because people like you exist.
They have called several penalties on Boston, sure they missed a few, but it’s not like the Leafs are getting the screw job

Samsonov should have stopped that but the refs have been awful. McCavoy tackles Matthews behind the net, no call. Marchand trips Bertuzzi, no call leading to a goal. Refs feign a makeup call on McAvoy for jumping on Dewar only to take it away almost immediately with a soft call on Bert. Ridiculous.

Good job Max lighting a fire under the Bruins they were asleep why poke the bear. Was his dad telling him to do it cause we know Tie was a great judge of when to do stupid thing just like that series against the NJ

Keefe has to either take over the PP next period if we get another or tell Boucher to deploy a different strategy because our PP might cost us the series.

0/4 on the powerplay. Why does this powerplay just dry up when the playoffs come around?
Predictable entry, same thing everytime back pass to Marner and everyone waiting at the blue line and no one a threat to take a shot from the point to pull defending forwards out from in front of the net

These hockey guys who blabber during the intermission always find a way to excuse anything that happens against the Leafs and when it's the other way around they will make sure to call it out every chance they get. What is with this idiocy?

Yeah, people can complain about the total number of penalties that are being called, but given that the Leafs have had more powerplays I don't think anyone can say that the refs are favouring Boston. Anyway, won't matter. Boston is pretty overmatched, and that's without Nylander.

Good lord. Score and have all the momentum (great play by Marner), and just hand back the game to Boston with stupid undisciplined nonsense. Bertuzzi is more focused on Marchand than the actual play, and they score in the out of position chaos. Then we get a PP to try and fix his mess, and he takes a stupid penalty by hitting up high for no reason. If this is the "playoff Bertuzzi" we held out hope for, no thank you.

Refs doing pretty much as bad as expected, given the refs and teams involved. You can sense a game that could erupt and cause injuries because refs let it get out of control.

Good time for intermission. Settle down, and win.

The coaches aren't telling them to keep passing it to the Bruins players. They are just getting pressured heavily and they aren't distributing the puck well at all.

It's on the players.

Just because they called a lot of penalties on Boston it doesn't mean they have been good. Boston has been getting away with a lot.

When refs start determining calls based on how many calls they've made previously then they're no longer reffing the game, they're managing it.
