GDT: Game Preview: Sharks vs Blackhawks

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Final game of this short West Coast/Mountain road trip. 2023 1 OA (CB98) vs 2024 1OA (Celebrini). I think we win this 5-2. Bedard gets 2 points and possibly a goal.

Possible lines?

It's nice knowing that we have some good young talent locked in for the top 9/top 4 next season in Smith, eklund, Celebrini, Graf, and Mukh. Early days but you can see the bones of it all coming together.

The Sharks won and blew up HFboards.

Graf is like a mini-Celebrini. Not the same talent obviously but works really hard in all ends of the ice, can pass, can shoot. I’m especially impressed with his huge development jump. The kid took the summer and came back looking like a different player - could end up being a really important signing for this team.

It was fun seeing Bedard spend multiple 90 second shifts completely dominated in the D zone during the first period. He was a complete non factor in the game.

Also it was one of Celebrini’s worst games too.

Giles and Gregor in for Kunin and Sturm seems to be a better fit for what they want out of their 4th line. Definitely a way higher tempo with those two out there.

Graf is going to be such a good 3rd line/top-6 tweener. Shockingly Gregor was good but against Chicago it may not mean too much but I'll take it. I didn't notice Bedard once this game and didn't realize until after I left the game that he ended up getting a misconduct. Charmin soft ref to do that.

Yeah, Bedard got totally hosed on that missed penalty, but keeping your temper in check is part of the game.

Was gonna post something similar because I was at the game last night and it looks like these boards self-immolated.

This was my first time seeing Bedard in person. I wasn't impressed. At all. I don't know if he's still nursing an injury or the coaches are telling him to suck to throw games and land the first overall or what but not only was he a non-factor, he looked BAD, like Adam Burish BAD.
