GDT: Game night - Caps (no letdowns please) vs Wings (fighting for a spot)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

    Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

LT was huge tonight and kept the Caps in the game with tons of great saves, easily the player of the game tonight.

Wilson getting 30 is great, him stepping up offensively has been huge. He’s really filled in for Oshie, I think that’s a big reason for his productivity, he’s getting those opportunities. Safe to say he has fully recovered from his injury, that man is way faster than a guy his size should be allowed to be.

To me, it was as if, after it was 1-1 for like 30+ minutes or whatever it was, and it was all just kind of frustrating, PLD was all like, look, nothing seems to be working right now, so screw all this, I’m gonna get the puck, go down there, and put it in the net.

I cannot tell you how much I love PLD at this point. OK, so, when my girlfriend wants advice about work or whatever, lately I have just been telling her, “Do what PLD would do.” That’s about how I feel about his game right now. I wasn’t expecting much this offseason, but his overall value, at this point, seems to be elite level. And I suspect Coach has something to do with that. I think he’s my favorite Capital right now.
