I don't understand why people are looking at a 4th liner who gets the most forward minutes on the best PK in hockey and saying "yeah, we need to replace that guy with literally anyone else."

Maybe he's not a key piece. But what if he is? You won't know until you've already ****ed it up, right?

Also seems like it's pretty counter to what Peters preaches: perform in your role, and you play. His role is 4th liner and PK. Most minutes on PK/game of any forward, most blocked shots/game of any forward, best takeaway/giveaway on the team, doesn't take dumb penalties.

I don't get it.

Have you actually watched him play this year? The drop in his play from last year to this is huge. He is lost out there and allows too many shots from his point cause he is too slow and isn't in proper position and loses too many draws in the D zone while on PK. You want me to keep going?

I wouldn't say he's had a huge dropoff this year. In fact, he was pretty terrible last year, I have a hard time saying that this year has not been an improvement from him.

Plus he scored that sweet goal on the breakaway against Anaheim, that move was dope

IIRC we decided over the summer that the drop in his play from the previous year to last year was also huge.

He must have been a goddamn All Star in 2014.

You're entitled to your opinion. He's a fourth liner. I think he's decent at that. You clearly think differently. Guess we'll leave it up to the coach.
