Noesen scored again today. That's a guy we regret letting go
No ragrets there, not even one letter. I love the guy but his skating wasn’t great for the system and he fits in well in NJ. Happy for him and we’ve spent the money on guys who fit great.

Tough game overall, but it was a good comeback. Moving on.

Forgive me if I don’t get bent out of shape about losing a game the afternoon after Thanksgiving, especially as the home team.

Treating every loss as some kind of referendum on the season as a whole, while they are the best team in the conference is such an insane waste of energy.
You don't get it Joe. Before the season, we'd be lucky to make the playoffs. It doesn't matter that the team has the best record in the east, we lost a post thanksgiving afternoon game against the defending SC champs with a 3rd string goalie. Therefore, we are soft, we can't compete and Florida is our Daddy.

Get with the program.

I think you guys might be a bit too used to us clobbering teams this year, tight game against one of the best in the League, decided by Canes having AHL goal tending

I'm not saying they're why we're losing the game, just that's who should be the most physical line in response to teams running us... especially come playoff time.
RBA has the guys but I believe he suggests that they don’t play with an edge.

As I said earlier when the SC Champs show up with their best players contributing and ours outside of a jarvy goal don’t, it’s a certain loss.

Aho-Svetch-Necas (he was hammered a few times too) were awful.

As others have pointed out, Svetch hasn’t had an edge since he hurt b’s defenseman In the playoffs years ago. He no influence in the game today; in fact was a detriment.

We did get two gift goals from Bob though that he won’t give us in April or may.

As nice as it would’ve been for Martin to back up Kochetkov until Andersen got back, I do think he’s proved that an acquisition is necessary sooner than later. Even if it might feel like overkill it’s not like our top two guys can be relied on to stay healthy once they’re both back.

A home win streak in this league rarely hits double digits. That said sometimes games like this can be used to see where we need to boost things when we get to where the games really matter. Right now we're looking at the same issues we've had for a while. The talent is there but we lack the punch to go toe to toe when a team like Florida decides to get physical, and they will get physical using the "they can't call everything" approach like they have the last couple playoff years.

I mean sure, if Spencer Martin is starting playoff games, they’re f***ed. If they have either PK or Freddie they win this game.

And oddly enough, that realization would push Tulsky away from making a goalie move because that goalie move would probably soak up remaining LTIR space and prevent him from making a move for a physical player at the deadline.

And that’s probably the right move. Unlikely to win it all if you aren’t playing Kochetkov or Andersen behind an improved team; make a move to replace Andersen in the offseason.
