Credit to the Preds. They came to play tonight and are doing the little things you need to do to win (and the big things too by scoring 3 goals). Blues don't look flat as much as they have just made a lot of little mistakes and don't seem to be gelling at all as a team tonight. It doesn't help that it looks like the clock struck 12 on the Elliott Cinderella story and he ended the period doing snow angels while the Preds scored their third goal. It would be a perfect time to see what Jake Allen can do.

Having all this depth is hurting the Blues. Too many options for Hitch. Not gaining continuity by changing players every night

Apparently we are not going to hit tonight either. That is why Reaves needs to be in the line up he makes a hit any time he has a chance. Games against Nashville are always physical, if you read the preds GDT for the previous two games before the games started there was lots of talk about how physical the Blues are against them. Did we even have a hit in that period? Blues are really flat and have no energy at all.

That's not keeping 57, 74, 42, 10, 20 or 91 from scoring.

This was the worst period this team has played this season. Probably statistically, but definitely on an effort-level. If this team is a Championship contender for real, they take the game to Nashville in the next period and begin to mount a come-back. If they come out with the same level of effort, we're a 1st or 2nd round bounce-out.

In games like this, you can tell a lot of the long-term mettle of a group of players.

This game is on Hitchcock so far actually (that's why you didn't see him getting overly upset, but rather a little embarrassed on the bench). First time in a long time he tried switching a lot of things up and it's costing them big time. The only other time I remember him doing it was last season in Carolina and it cost them that game as well.

I don't know what he was hoping to see but I will be interested to see if he reverts back to tried and true in the next period and coming games.

Not going to say what it is (it's more than one thing)

Well I haven't seen any good play by any blues player. Maybe this is hitchcock's fault. I would say its a team effort in suckage.

I really just don't want any injuries this game. We could lose 10-0 and I wouldn't care that much as long as we don't get an injury to a key player trying to start a fight in a blowout. Looking at you TJ.

Credit to the Preds my ass! The boys are playing like they got menstrual cramps tonight! Pathetic. I don't think they have won a race to 1 loose puck the whole period and for the love of God can somebody win a damn faceoff!!

Where is the thread on the main board calling the Predators a boring trap team? Were getting dominated, so they must be doing that to us right?

Oshie has never once done that.

Who's got 3 goals? Yea, Nashville is outplaying the crap out of us. Especially on the defensive end.

Bahahaha! I stopped watching because my stream kept freezing and turning off, and since I wasn't impressed with what I was seeing I didn't feel like putting up with it. Now I check to see the Preds are already up by three? HAHA WHAT?

Where the Blues be at? Huh? They sure as hell ain't on that ice down there. They must be in space or something someone quick we need to form a rescue party.

TO SPACE!

psh, having halak in wouldn't do this team much better. halak and elliot are way overrated as a tandem. in fact, i've been super disappointed with halak's play so far. very few times he is impressive to me...

Off-topic: Lol @ your avi.

How long did it take you to build that? I used to go there all the time.

Against Columbus when he broke his ankle and the Blues were down by 5+
I'm aware, but that is not at all what happened. Backes tried to start something with Voracek I believe. Oshie was just part of the scrum of players that came in. Him and Pahlsson grabbed ahold of each other and Oshie fell backwards. He wasn't trying to initiate anything.

It was a terrible breakdown. But you are being awful nice to Elliott. If it was a nice shot sure I'd be ok with it. But that was a weak, weak goal. You can't let a shot from a fourth liner squeak through your five hole on a turn around shot.

Correction. That initial shot was from Colin Wilson who is NOT a 4th liner. Preds are running 7 dmen and so Wilson is double shifting. Just didn't like seeing Wilson being discredited like that. Wilson is our 2nd liner and future 1st liner. That'd be like Tarasenko temporarily filling in on your 4th line and everyone just assuming he is a 4th line scrub.

Exactly the type of thing I hope this incarnation of the Blues can avoid. Take your lumps and move on to the next game. Don't do anything stupid like that.
