Jumping out of my seat inside The Rock, high fives/hugs a plenty for the next hour or so.
So I took a gander over at their GDT and god that's hilarious.
It's basically four pages of all-Devils related talk. Either bashing us (and our attendance), talking about how Parise ran away from us or how Kovy is a heartless Russian (who heard that one before?).
I hope they enjoy the Devils game tonight.. because it doesn't seem they realize or care the Rangers are playing as well.
Jumped off my couch, celebrating with my brothers and then turning back to the few Rangers fans who were sitting next to me (family) and giving them a handshake.
All class, no need to rub anything in when you've had the success we've had.
Then I celebrated some more cause I had tickets to the SCF!!
That's right they did! You know what? They should bring out the 1994 cup team and special cup replica they have and celebrate it!
Watched the first two periods at a bar. Then the third period at our apartment. GF was sitting silent on the couch... I was pacing back and forth because I couldn't sit still.... then when Henrique scored she jumped on me and we yelled and my ankle hurt.

But, wait a second, we are not their rival, our games with them are meaningless.
That's what I have read over and over from their base.
They would bring out their other cups but they're pretty rusted over by now. Brown cups = not as fun.

I was at my uncle's house. He's a huge Rangers fan and we Henrique scored and jumped, quick scream, ran around and then silence. Silence. Then 10 minutes later I was on my way home.

lol not saying you're wrong but nearly every post in this GDT is trashing the Rangers too.

There was a guy passed out from the 2nd period on in front of me at Game-3 of that series-good thing for him.
He had a Henrique jersey on to, little did we know what would happen a few games later.
Nash winning the Maurice Richard trophy, Kreider the Calder and Lundqvist the finals MVP+Vezina... all of that because of the Mike Rupp trade that went down yesterday.
It's all inter-related somehow.
Take a look through. We're mostly sticking to hockey here, not going to attendance, fans, or "your captain left you."
There's literally not a post about hockey on your GDT. It's all about the Devils this and the Devils that.
I think it's fairly obvious the rivalry makes it so both fanbases are obsessed with the other, evident by both you and me reading eachother's fan bases. Only difference is, I can't find a single Ranger fan who would admit to that.

I'd like to see Barch make some big hits on their defensemen to create some space for Josefson and Butler. And not just drop the gloves for a premeditated fight with Asham.
It's all good I'm use to Rangers fans maknig baseless opinions or taking the standard potshots rather than comparing one another in the context of hockey because... they can't.
