this game is kind of not interesting

That is how I've felt about most the red wing games so far this season. This team is donezo because they have no identity. It is get carried by Dats or Z or lose. Terrible terrible terrible terrible job
by the management in addressing the issues of this team. Did they think Lidstrom and company found the elixir of youth....

Hahaha Lashoff

Lashoff let Tanguay abuse him on that goal.

#NotReady4NHL

Glad we stat our first round pick for our undrafted defensiveman defenseman who can't play defense

You're going to blame that on Lashoff?

He didn't stop the pass, no, but Kronwall let Iginla score while falling down, and Howard decided to go swimming.

Cleary = Inge

But at least Inge was good defensively.

Somebody please tell me what Mike Babcock sees in Dan Cleary?

There's not a good reason in this world why he plays the amount of minutes he does every night.

That third line would be a whole hell lot better if it was

Nyquist-Gator-Bert

Can't have two slow and old players and gator on the same line.

I'm currently stuck at work so I can't watch this one but I'm one for two in predictions, that 100& SURELY Iginla would net his first goal against us. It's not even playing the odds, ha, was joking earlier with a friend that both TOR and DET would lose their games against the conferences bottom feeders. It's still pretty early though, so hoping the Wings show come kick back and take it to CGY the rest of the way.

As mentioned above though, it does seem 98% of the offense is generated directly through either Dats or Zetts. Now would be a killer time for a goal, even a single goal to be scored by someone on the bottom six. Noticed Tootoo's fight, did he get hurt though? Didn't see it but noticed he only has 1:01 TOI on the stat line.

Go root for another team.

Why? Because he doesn't cheer blindly at failing decisions that don't work at making his team win? I want my team to win. When decisions are made that prevent that, I call them out.

You want your team to lose or something?

Man is Kronwall brutal. He was directly responsible for both of those goals. For those playing along he's been on the ice for 12 of the last 15 goals against. We should only have him on the ice in the offensive zone. :shakehead

Or stop drinking the red cool aid and open your eyes.

Got a guy with no goals through eight games on our garbage PP. Instead of a younger, more offensively gifted player in Tatar.

If you drop Cleary, then you have no one who can stand in front of the net. You want at least someone who can stand in front of the net, no matter how terrible he is. At 5'10", Tatar isn't going to be able to stand in front of the net.

This is going to blow your mind, but you don't need someone to stand in front of the net 24/7 to have an effective powerplay.

In fact, if you look at how the Wings are doing it, you're pretty much looking for an example of how NOT to run a powerplay. Look at the more successful teams. They have intelligent, situational netfront presence.

Why aren't you GMing and simultaneously coaching an NHL at the same time. Clearly you're capable of it.

Bertuzzi and Franzen. Two guys who can and will stand in front of the net. Don't need Cleary for that at 5'10" he ain't even gona screen anybody.

He is w o r t h l e s s .

you could put an orange cone in front of the net and it would do as good of a job as cleary has

Howard has been swimming a lot this season. Unlike him. One might think he doesn't trust his defense.

Gator can't stand in front of the net? Wasn't he being groomed to be able to stand in front of the net at some point? Or Bert? It's not like it matters anyways, Kronwall can't hit the net and most of the forwards just shoot it right into the goalies chest.

well i guess the Wings lose this one no pp for us but cal after cal for the flamers. :shakehead

You say that as if having Power Plays would actually help us in some way.

I guess it does slightly decrease the chance of the other team scoring.
