Honestly, the team plays farrrrr too loose. Just not nearly tight or stout enough. The D and even the goalie will look mediocre when the opposition can come flying through the neutral zone at will. I am really disappointed in the system and/or the inabilty of the coaches to get the team to commit and buy in to playing team D.

Well??? He literally has turned the puck over multiple times and one resulted in Dallas’ 2nd goal! He had about 20 feet of space and chipped the puck off the boards essentially giving it to Dallas.

I’m not sure he’s touched the puck in the offensive zone. Come on- if the standard for well is “he’s not gotten hurt” than I agree.

Imagine watching Kakko this year and not thinking he would make your PP better.

But where? Trocheck literally just scored a goal, that would be the guy he should be replacing. Panarin and Zib cover the left and center. As much as he might be frustrating, Kreider is literally one of the best if not THE best guy in front of the net on a PP in the whole league. Fox? Nah.

If Trocheck goes cold then you might insert Kakko there.

Kakko and Fox are both so good with puck protection but with completely different ways.

Fox does it mostly with agility, trickery, and general smarts.

Kakko does it with pure, undiluted BIG KAK ENERGY.
