Nah, I was too old when I moved to Toronto and always viewed them as a rival team being from Montreal. I became indifferent after a while because of coworkers and friends here looking so depressed all the time.

They remind me of Caps fans pre-2018.

I’m still shocked Ovie got a penalty for his “hit”.

This was a tough one. His hit was, technically, just late, but I don’t see how he could have avoided the collision. Definitely nothing intentional to hurt the opposing player though.

Not from what i saw. OV was active, hitting, good in front of the net.

And JC74 made some really good puck retrievals. He is always getting shit, but he makes so many discreet plays which are absolutely money.

So glad the Caps got their shit together and pulled that off, the special teams was horrific tonight but they managed to play a great 5v5. Super thankful LT was able to come back, I'm still in disbelief that he played. How often do you see a guy limp off like that and play the very next game?

I think that it has been expected that Ovi could struggle in the playoffs. The pace and intensity of the game is just much higher.

But despite this, he already has three goals including an important game 1 OT winner. He won’t get any faster, and his stamina has been reduced. But the coaching staff should manage his minutes more smartly. This is the best way to increase the benefits and reduce the risks for the team overall.

Not sure what’s going on with Carly. But it must be age too. Would love to see more from him.

past their primes and they can’t dominant every game anymore.

Real gutsy win IMO. Pp was getting stoned and we lost the lead after the failed 3 on 5. I thought the momentum would just flip and it would steam roll. Guys kept fighting and had a good third. Thompson again strong and team defense was much better. Need to fix the pk but good rebound from game 3

There's an old axiom in sports. The sign of a good team is one that can still win when they're not at their best. The Caps got steam rolled on special teams, but owned most of the game and the scoreboard at even strength. That's a good sign. Special teams won't be that bad every night.
