Hopefully Protas back means Leonard will get a chance to play with somebody capable of contributing offensively.
I don't even think Tom Wilson would want to fight this woman!I think it's time boys.
Tin foil hat? I swear I don't know why ppl discredit any goalie talking from experience. Do I have to be some pro player to be credible?! Your in a butterfly formation, your 200+ lb teammate comes at you with good speed crashing into you unexpectedly, falling on top of you while still in a butterfly formation! You kind of get contorted backwards, so something is gonna pull in one of your legs! He had to be helped off the ice and couldn't put weight on one of legs. He might be able to put on the equipment and light practice, but no way can he go 100% with how fast the game is.
Hockey players play hurt, but I know what I see from 30 years playing the position. You don't need to be a pro goalie to know what is going on. I have played the position just like Thompson, but it's a lot faster pace and these players play it as their everyday job. The basics of playing the position are mostly the same, including injuries. Pro players just have everything at their disposal to recover quicker than normal players like me.You really don't know that for certain, you're just speculating. We'll find out in a few hours. until then, playing sports medicine diagnosis from TV is just guessing. We've seen injuries look bad initially and then turn out to be manageable, plenty of times.
Lets defer to the team doctors vs our own opinions for now.
No, I just watched again. First, it was the left leg that got bent back. Then as he got up he initially put no weight on the left leg. Then as he was being helped off he took a few strides on both legs, testing it out, then finally lifted his left leg again to take any weight off it as he left the ice.Was it?! Go look at the video when they showed his teammates help carry him off the ice in Game 3. He initially put weight on the right leg but than switched as he felt something and switched his weight to his left leg while being helped off.

Have you ever played hurt as a goalie? I have, with ways to hide the injury unless very severe.
I played goalie for ~30 years also, I just don't need to advertise it constantly. We'll find out in a few hours how injured he really is. We both hope its not serious, I think we both agree he's the clear #1, and he kept us in the game early on until we finally quit trying.
I'll admit I may do that too much, but sometimes I see ppl either criticize goalies too easily or give them a pass too easily. Goalie is a big part of the game. I just feel I have to represent that since most ppl don't.I played goalie for ~30 years also, I just don't need to advertise it constantly. We'll find out in a few hours how injured he really is. Thompson could be showing some stubbornness? Maybe there is some gamesmanship going on? If Carbs told me to go on the ice in practice to show like I could play the game, I would do it. Thompson could have some type of injury that will not get worse, so he is able to go on the ice, but not push it.Ya I have played goalie for ~30 years as well. I don’t believe LT is going to practice to hide an injury to “trick” the Habs into thinking he’s playing. He’s either healthy or sore and won’t play.
I knew the vibes were off, I just couldn't put my finger on itNo wonder this place is so weird, it's full of goalies.
Don't ya know, eh! (canadien accent emphasis)No wonder this place is so weird, it's full of goalies.

Thank you for this!I played goalie for ~30 years also, I just don't need to advertise it constantly.
I want my goalies to be stubborn, like Jim-Craig-in-Miracle-stubborn. I trust the team doctors to not let him play if he's injured or faces worsening an injury if he plays. I also trust LT to play through the right level of pain tolerance if he's not going to make it worse by playing... see; team docs again.
