These guys won 15 of their last 16 games while resting a rotation of half the roster.

This is just getting stupid.
Crazy really. I thought around January they had a chance to get the wins & points record, and then they hit a couple slides and I gave up on that personally thinking there was no way.

They did it.

Before this season I had slacked off watching the Bruins as much as I had in the past, life gets busy and other things become or seem more important. At the end of the summer I was talking with my wife about how I needed to find something to relax and take my mind off the crap and pressures life can pile on you.

I decided I’d get back into hockey and the Bruins much more, although I had been hearing the Bruins would likely have a tough run this year. Whatever happend I wanted to have some fun and just enjoy the game and the team even if they were mediocre.

Nine months later, I didn’t miss a game and I am so thankful for what we all just experienced.

I love these guys. This season was magical and felt like the little kid who fell in love with the Bruins so many years ago. I can’t conceive of this ending any other way than with the Stanley Cup!

Go get it!! Go BRUINS!!!

It is always good to beat the Habs, at least they kept it interesting for the crowd and gave the Habs a little hope before taking it away. That was a tame game, I felt no pressure and the hatred didn't bubble up, it was just a bit of pond hockey.

If we get news that Linus and Bergy are ready for Monday, I'll feel a lot better.

I'm not assuming anything in the playoffs but I wonder if any other records will be broken, is there much that they can add to what they have already done. In 2011 they became the first team to win the Cup after playing three 7-game rounds. I don't want that kind of record....lol....I was physically and mentally on the edge way too much.

I unfortunately missed this one due to my final curling match of the year....did we stay healthy?

great post, I too slacked off at times as well, for me, it wasn`t about not loving the B`s, it was simply out of boredom watching some of the B`s games. Where Monty preaches controlled , aggressive play, Cassidy was almost always risk averse. The entertainment factor this season was off the charts, have to think the boys simply love playing in such a free flowing system

God willing, this spells difference btw now and 2019. These guys really look like they're having fun out on the ice this year.

Speaking to our depth. We had eight players with at least 50 points.

I've been trying to find the stats on it without much luck as of yet, but so far I checked the 80s Oilers dynasty stats and they only had eight 50+ point guys once, in 81/82.

And then the 90s Pens also had eight twice. In 91/92 and 92/93.

And encouragingly, last years Avs also had eight.

I'm starting to think no team has ever had more.

EDIT: As I typed this out I thought, "duh." ...and checked the 70/71 Bs, and they had nine players with at least 50 points, lol. (So did the 71/72 team).

Damn. The 77/78 Bs had ten 50 point scorers. (That team also has the record for most 20 goal scorers at eleven)

Still though, the point is we have awesome depth. :P
