If you want any control over where this team finishes go load up nhl 25 and pull the goalie every game.

None of you would have the balls to tell millionaire athletes they need to go out there and throw games. Yzerman isn’t going to embrace any kind of loser mentality, and I don’t blame him. Where does this team go from here? I’ve tried to be less vocal this season and just ride it out. I still see a ton of plugs and no real high end offensive talent. I also think Larkin might have peaked and he’s going into the back end of his career. Until they figure out the top end center talent I just see mediocrity going forward and I hate it.

5 years ago I knew we were legitimately bad but there was always hope for winning the lottery

now I have no clue where we are going and what will happen in the next 5 years

That’s a wrap to the season. Roller coaster game perfectly projects how the entire season unravelled.

All in all I think everyone is disappointed about not making the playoffs, but the bigger picture should be focused on how we have 2 stud rookie defensemen who stepped in this year and held their own. Marco Kasper is proving to be a good pick by Stevie and Co. Big Elmer making an impact on the big team.

Raymond, Mo continuing to be the young stars that they are.

All in all, very good season for the young players on this team. That’s the importance of a rebuild. Yes eventually you need to be playing meaningful hockey games towards the end of April, but that’s the next step on this journey.

Let’s see who is ready and graduates from GR. Let’s see how the cap space is weaponized in the off season. Maybe we package the 1st round in 2025 with Burgerboy for a roster upgrade.

2) A couple plugs will be moved on (somehow).
