Feel like his Leafs tenure was decidedly above avg but not amazing at the draft floor.

But this is highest he’ll pick as the GM right?

Idk hopefully now that it’s his staff (younger Pryor was from Hextall era) we really dial in.
What's his name? Wes Clark? Isn't he some draft guru?

On one hand, this game showed me that the players don’t actually want to lose, on the other hand, it just showed me that the team just largely sucks.
Yeah, I never thought it was a "team quit on Sullivan" thing. The team's just kinda dogshit, propped up by a couple good players so they're out of range of those really exceptional draft picks.

Technically he runs all scouting here (pro and am)

Here’s his picks for Leafs. Didn’t have much to work with and too early to tell

Believe he was with Florida before? I’m not sure of his role there.

That's how I would characterize it too. But drafting is very hard and takes a long time for the difference to materialize unless drafting extremely early. Even great value picks take years to develop.

Finally had a chance to watch a full game of Koivunen. He had his fingers in basically every play the first line made. Not too worried about his speed/skating as long as he is on a line with another player who can stretch the ice and get in ahead of him. He has fine top end speed just his stride in some parts of the ice looks blocky. That can be improved but you can't teach his instincts. Savvy player with sick steez as the kids say. Baggy pants... sold. Exciting player. Should be a great complementary winger for the future. Watching him I kept thinking he is a very poor mans Kucherov. Great at deceiving the defenders off the wall on the PP.

As for that game as a whole. Once again Sid is all over the ice making plays at high levels. All Ovi does is loaf around on the PP waiting for a set up. Anyone who even thinks they should be ranked near each other all time needs a head check.

Just need Sid to do another two year extension after this and I think we avoid another dark age. He is invaluable to development.

Anyone who isn't pissed at how this season ended up isn't a fan. If you're happy because we got a few wins at the end of the year at the expense of a top pick then you're a f***ing idiot.
I 100% refuse to be upset that Sid went on a tear to end the season and it hurt our draft pick. If he wants to go out there and win, I want him to win. It's that simple.

Question: Why was Poulin not up sooner this season? He looked so much better last night than Nieto, Hayes and Accari. Same could be said for Puus.

After positivity.... kev is getting angry all over again :mad::mad::mad:

Can Sully just be replaced by an AI already? Call Sam Altman.

I've been waiting patiently for "AI Mike Lange" to replace Getzoff. Even if the AI just spews random quotes which don't match the action on the ice, it'd still be a substantial improvement.

A bag of rancid dogshit could easily replace Phil Bourque.

We get it you like meaningless wins while eating your nachos and waving your towel. You’d have been ok with missing out on jaromir Jagr or Mario for that one extra meaningless win
