The problem on our PP is teams know there is no left handed threat on the opposite side so they overplay Laine's side since if he's covered our PP is unlikely to do anything.

Demidov would be a threat to shoot on the opposite side which would help allow Laine to be more open to use his shot. Demi is also capable of making cross ice passes to Laine which makes our PP much more unpredictable, this instead of the puck getting passed back to Hutson/Suzuki every time to set up a Laine one-timer.
The problem on our PP is that everyone in the rink knows what the Habs are attempting to set up. There's nothing tried other than that (most times.. last game they got really lucky in that the whole right side opened up after Caufield almost gave it away on the boards) so all PKers do is swarm Hutson and Nick until they force a pass to Laine for a sharp angle shot.

Slaf has to be taking it to the net and trying to score. Doing it once or twice will force PKers to cover him or try to stop it, opening up others. He won't though. He passes every single time without fail, doesn't even look to the net.

Hopefully he backs up what he said after being the biggest reason why we lost on Monday
I would rather have a player that is little over aggressive than play too passively. He made a mistake by stepping up and going for a hit that was missed timed probably by less than have a second. There is a fine line being too aggressive and playing with the right assertiveness. His teammates should also have killed off the PK against the Blackhawks.

I think the issue is that they have such poor depth that they burned out their best players. Suzuki played 27 minutes against Chicago...one Center plays almost half the game...
Weird. There’s posters that think Newhook is the 2nd coming of Christ. You’d think he’d get more icetime in a crucial game if that were the case.

No excuses tonight...can't win, didn't deserve it.
This is just it right? If they do sit all of those guys and we still lose (at home) with the season on the line, it's completely justified.

Columbus is a team of destiny right now and they will beat NYI tomorrow night in regulation. I'm as sure of it as a young francophone rookie scoring his first NHL goal against the Habs.

Why is this kind of disrespectful crap tolerated? Thankfully I won't see it again.

Savard is playing terribly. It's not his fault he's in the lineup.
lol so you admit he's terrible, but because I didn't word it a way you like I'm the bad guy. Hilarious
