Teams have adjusted and Laine has been pretty much made ineffective. Slaf stands in front of the net and is strong at retrieving pucks. Yes Laine has about 15 power play goals but when was the last one?
Also, Caufield has a lethal shot too.
It used to be that way a long time ago. You'd name the center first, the wingers after.Who the F puts centers on the left lol
He doesn't deserve that level of disrespect. He blocks shots, gives it everything he has. I wouldn't call him useless.Fat f*** useless Savard still playing?
I'd be tempted to keep Laine on PP1, but bring him on after we have solid possession in zone since he's a goddamn nightmare on the zone entries with his softness on the boards and complete lack of hands. If MSL is smart he would remove Laine from the PP, insert Caufield in his spot and add Demidov.
Laine is one dimensional and seems to be having a difficult time with the speed of the game.
Well at least Beck is speedy enough and brings energy to be really useful on a 4th line. That's not the case with Kapanen.I am pretty convinced that he is not in the team's future plans. I see Beck passing him up. Neither Beck nor Kapanen will be anything special however.

It's time to have diarrhea my friend. You can do that!!!!I work tonight so scoreboard watching it is.....come on boys you can do this!!!!
Of course it's my opinion and no way Marty would do that. And Laine's is better he is literally one of the best PP weapons in the league. If you are taking him of PP1 just bench him at that point.
I won't lie, since Chicago's putrid performance I already have the taste of defeat in my mouth, no clue how they rally to win against Carolina after that and there's no way Columbus loses tomorrow.
Hope I'm wrong!
Which is why Demidov should replace Caufield, who has no role on the PP. Stick and leave Slaf in front of the net.The problem on our PP is teams know there is no left handed threat on the opposite side so they overplay Laine's side since if he's covered our PP is unlikely to do anything.
Demidov would be a threat to shoot on the opposite side which would help allow Laine to be more open to use his shot. Demi is also capable of making cross ice passes to Laine which makes our PP much more unpredictable, this instead of the puck getting passed back to Hutson/Suzuki every time to set up a Laine one-timer.
When Heineman was in Laval he scored several Laine like goals from the right side. I know he isn't the solution tonight but maybe next year. The problem on our PP is teams know there is no left handed threat on the opposite side so they overplay Laine's side since if he's covered our PP is unlikely to do anything.

They can get this to OT at least right? Right??
