Lol if we end up on the wrong side this evening ... the CBJ vs NYI game might end up the most watched gamed in CBJ history .I dunno if Sportnet plans to broadcast that game or not in the event Habs don't clinch tonight.

If they can't find the motivation to play a full 60 minutes with the season on the line, the rebuild is not over and more changes will have to be made.

I doubt motivation is an issue here, this looks like a young team learning how to close the deal, either way this will have been a very valuable experience. I’ll be extremely upset if they do lose tonight though dont get me wrong

Laine is sinking his linemates and the PP every time he step on the ice but Martin doesn't care about that, he just want Patty to be happy.

Who care about the result, we don't want to hurt Laine ego. Same goes for Matheson.

I heard the presser. It was yesterday after practice. He did indeed say "I do what I want" but the context of it is Engels asking about the urgency of the Carolina game and if the PP1 isn't working, would he alter things regarding putting Demidov there.

He elaborated saying it's part of coaching and going with your gut feeling regarding how the game is going.

So it wasn't a question where he was challenged and just said "I'm the coach, I do what I want." It was more in the sense that he's basically the one who can make that change if need be.

If either Caufiled or Slaf aren’t going by mid-game, they’re getting bounced in favour of Demidov. (5v5)

Also, they need more balance with TOI.

They know what they are up against. A disciplined team who take few penalties and play a very structured game.
If we are playing on our back foot all evening long forget it we won't survive and will be taking penalties.
If Slavin plays Marty has to get his best elements on the ice when Slavin is on the bench. The dude is an eraser one of those big ones.
