Everything we've seen indicates they don't do well when the pressure's on them, and tomorrow night the pressure will be 10 fold what it has been the last few games.

I'm expecting an ugly, ugly loss. I'm going to guess something along the lines of 6-2.

They literally come back from the dead in most games lately. I think you're pessimistic. They have a realistic chance of winning as much as before. Its up to them, whatever happens happens.

That's the definition of choking.
Not really. Habs are 6-2-2 in last 10. CLB is 6-4-0. We actually did better. When things are close things happen. Despite getting 2 more points in last 10 we are only 4 points ahead and they have a game in hand. Its close.

10 games ago we were even closer.

I consider choking to fall from a much greater spot. Its been close all along.

Hoping that they are not going into tomorrow game with the '' We need only a point '' mentality.

That's how you drop the ball on a weird or unlucky bounce, a bad penality or multiples penality like the Chicago games.
(If we didnt take stupid penalities against the Hawks and we continued to pressure, pretty sure we don't have to look back and defend to protect a 2goal lead.)

Go in there to win, not to protect a tie god damn it. That's not how you learn to win.

I really really think if we couldnt get it done vs Toronto with a perfect Dobes AND Chicago, we wont make it happen vs Carolina. They were maximum ass vs the Blackhawks. This is sad as hell.

We're going to lose in OT, making the playoffs in the lamest way imaginable.
So you are saying there is a chance I mean what can go wrong.
Carolina are in a 10-1 stretch against the Habs. The Good News is we've recently managed a win and an OTL on home ice during that run of games.
We haven't matched up well against them in years and I suspect the call ups will be full of piss and vinegar like the baby Hawks were.
The saving grace is we know we are in tough something that didn't seem to dawn on us against Chicago.

Actually comes down to the very last game of the year lol
Unreal

Still, people forget the general feeling late September early October, morale was dead, the feelings were terrible
Nobody thought playoff spot the way things had gone in preseason and the bad start to reg season

Just need 1 point guys, and see whatever happens after that, even a sweep is wtv, 4 playoff games is still good XP for the boys

You can DO this guys, come on now

Condotta would be helpful to help offset some of these battered vets
There are any number of call ups that could have helped our ailing group over the last week or so.
It boggles my mind how we can have the best record in the AHL but have no faith in our call ups.

I can't believe we're on the verge of making the playoffs.

I also can't believe that we haven't clinched yet. Insane that we had such a big lead and haven't closed.

Not sure which I'm more surprised by. But Carolina is scary. We never play well against them and Columbus suddenly seem to be on fire. It ain't good.

That being said, if you'd told me that we'd have our own destiny in our hands on game 82 I'd have gladly taken it.

Expect the worst, hope for the best.

Go Habs go!
