How much icetime would you try to give Suzuki and Demidov together if we start like crap?
This is it there is no tomorrow and I am assuming CBJ roll over the Flyers.

If it was up to me seeing how good is Demidov he would play all game with Suzy and Cole, also take Laine of PP1 give Caufield his office back and play Demidov on the board........it's not like our PP was doing great lately anyway..... and Laine keeps on breaking play on it.

That’s not fair.

The kid would be way faster than poor David, who somehow managed to put on weight over the course of the season, which is extremely impressive. He’s making sure he’s putting a massive dent in the Habs buffet budget.

And he’d be way smarter than Matheson who would somehow manage to skate circles around the kid, miss the net, fall down and take the wrong man coming back. Even though there wouldn’t be another man to take.

At 5-on-5, not really....maybe only in huge offensive opportunity as a special line.
We'll have to work this out next year...time to build 2 line that can score.

I haven’t said much about Arber because I felt it was fine to rotate him and Struble until one of them made it impossible to sit them.. but continuing to sit Arber while basically the whole D core has sucked - and we keep losing.. bitch move. Let him play. Struble hasn’t done anything to keep his spot. We lost a few in a row. Enough is enough.

I understand Xhekaj has had a poor season and isn’t developing like they had hoped, but if they trade him and don’t give another season to try and establish himself in the bottom pairing next year, I’ll be really disappointed.
He 100% should have been in against Ottawa or Chicago. Now it’s tough to throw him in there given the stakes / he hasn’t been playing / Carolina is very good

MSL has no choice — he needs to play the best at their best position to succeed. Demidov has shown tools that few others on the team possess, short sample size and all. Play him with Suzuki and on the 1st PP. It’s do or die time.

I don’t understand MSL’s obsession with vets at all costs, even when they are manifestly incapacitated due to injury.

Also, please no Metheson to open an OT (edit: as a general precept but not for this particular game since if we’re in OT, it means the Habs will have clinched). Enough of this Metheson fixation — he will make less mistakes if his playing time is better managed.
