The players need to forget about what's at stake and just play their game. MSL said it best, just focus on the next action, the next play.

Forget about the playoffs and play for your teammates. Savard will retire, Armia and Dvo probably walk, who knows what else happen during the off season. This is a tight group, and this might be the last game they all play together.

They'll need to break through the pressure and leave it all on the ice while playing to WIN. Enough with that timid and scared, just flip the puck out of the zone, type of hockey.

Finding a way to break through that pressure at this stage of the rebuild would be huge going forward.

I know it would be insulting to Suzuki/Gally/Matheson/Savard, but I almost feel like a locker room visit from Price or one of the older legends before the game would be beneficial.

How much icetime would you try to give Suzuki and Demidov together if we start like crap?
This is it there is no tomorrow and I am assuming CBJ roll over the Flyers.

I thought about making the trip. But sadly I have an appointment that I just can't get out of :sarcasm:

Seriously though, that wouldn't be a bad idea. Price or maybe even Weber, who was quite helpful to Suzuki, when Suzuki first became captain.

I was told yesterday he was having the game of his life as a hab
He was good the first 5 minutes, like the rest of the team. The other 55 minutes all he did was skate slow (understatement of the year), receive a pass and lose the puck within 3 microseconds.

I'm still rooting for the guy but he better be badly injured to play like this, otherwise he should seriously consider retirement because at this rate, he won't be able to lace his skates by age 29

SLAF to line #2
has knuckles said today "he is skating like he has a piano on his back"

It's the last game....hard to try something at this point.

Slafkovsky brings the size, board battle, net presence for this line.
Suzuki- Caufield need that type of player with them.

Anderson is the one of the Dvorak's line
It's the reason Armia is with Demi and Newhook. You can shuffle those 3 but you need that type of player especially with Caufield's size.

I'm feeling like Jasperi watching the Habs turn into the worst team in the league in the last 6 games. So frustrating. :madfire:

Don't disagree with that, Slaf has been underwhelming lately....but I'm not sure I would prefer Armia or Anderson with Caufield and Suzuki either.

I would keep the Suzuki line 5 on 5
1st PP-Laine- Suzuki- Demidov- (Armia/Heineman/Anderson)-D
2nd PP- Caufield- Suzuki - Slaf- (Gallagher?)- D

Maybe they don’t care anymore (Bergevin is long gone) and care more about resting their players and keeping everybody healthy.
Their owner seems like someone who has a long memory when slighted.

And Bergevin did slight him. The owner shouldn't have felt slighted by Bergevin's comments: they made it clear Aho's agent played him for a fool, had him thinking Carolina wouldn't match because they were in "vulnerable" spot. The offer sheet was easily matched and a good deal for Carolina, and saved Waddell a summer of negotiating.

I think soon Hutson will be playing pp2 and pp2 along with Nick. Maybe Demidov too one day.

I like Caufield on pp1.

Slaf can play the half wall on pp2 and be open for his one timer. Kapanen should be on pp2 as well.

PP1
 Suzuki
Laine caufield Demidov
Hutson

PP2
Gally
Suzuki Newhook Slaf
Matheson/Hutson

Ok I'm taking one for the team tonight, I'm betting on Columbus to win in regulation tonight, that should seal the deal that they DO NOT. I never win when I bet! 100$ should do it!
Don’t think $100 gets it done man gonna have to be at least $500
