If this is the best the Kings got against this group this just makes me more confident. All goals were terrible by the goalie and two were on the PP (one as it expired). Even a bad goalie might only let in one of those.

Our power play isn’t going to be like this with 97 and 29 on it. If they want to play like this in Game 1 they can be my guest.

Oddly I don't think the Oilers played that badly, just getting pretty shoddy goaltending from Pickard and Kuemper made some big ones.

Look, Pickard hasn't been great tonight, but I doubt even Kuemper could survive the Josh Brown experience... Pickard also played his previous two games behind five D-men. Tonight he's missing one of the team's most reliable defenders in Stecher, and in his place he has two D-men from the AHL who belong in the AHL...and I might be too generous to Brown when I say that.

It’s the same thing as two weeks ago IMO.

Playing pretty much level with them, lose because we have nearly nobody that can score on their own. At no point in either of the 4 periods against them without 29, 97 and 14 have they rolled over us for more than a shift here or there.

We’re getting wasted because we aren’t able to generate anything on the PP, which is obviously a temporary problem.
