Ok, so he might get 1 game in just to clear that one clause that "allows him" to go back if he isn't playing in the NHL (the KHL season is done, so he can't really go back right now anyway). There was one tweet about it with no details to the exact conditions for that to kick in.

So we could potentially burn 1 year for 1 game.

I'd rather we didn't, but I'm not going to be blind to the fact that we could well miss the playoffs at this rate, seeing how the team has played lately (and yes, even during wins).
Burning a year is a good thing....

The rest of the team has just sucked for the most part, particularly offensively.
To be fair, that's because the rest of the team less Caufield does kind of suck offensively. We've got two fourth line centers and a winger playing center, a collection of third line wingers, some of whom are playing above their heads, and the mercurial yet predictable power play specialist Laine.

I believe Marty said something like he's trying to clinch the playoff spot before wondering where to slot Demidov, so that would also signal that he's not in the lineup before they clinch. Like I wrote before it's pretty understandable why Marty would act like that, but why he dresses Pezzetta over Heineman I don't understand.

He said, before the Ottawa game, when asked about Demidov in the line-up, “I haven’t thought about it yet. I’m trying to clinch a spot in the playoffs”

Which is understandable at that time (Demidov was not even with the team then). I have a tough time believing they brought Demidov over just to sit him in a crucial game for Pezzetta but I guess we’ll see tomorrow.

Pezzetta in while Demidov is out tomorrow, clinch or no clinch, is insanity. MSL is not insane

They are not playing him to please amazon or ticket buyers!!!
He is here to help us win, you need to gradually incorporate him into the lineup and he must play Monday or Wednesday for him to even sniff the playoffs. For me, there is no risk to switch him with Pezzetta, so he should easily be penciled in tomorrow into the starting lineup.
Of course someone has to come in with their own twist of saying what I said. I'm not saying they are bending to Amazon or the fans, I'm saying the signs are there that he's playing. They wouldn't double the ticket prices just for the hell of it out of the blue against a team like Chicago. Amazon wouldn't be advertising if they didn't know something.

Patrik Laine gonna f*** those Blackhawks up. No way he's letting his former backstabbing rat bitch team catch-up. We need a big game from him. It's been awhile.

His time to shine is now. Him and Demidov are going to be unstoppable.
