Pretty noble season for him. Very tough conditions here and he just mans up after a terrible season and plays better than he ever has. Consistently strong effort.

Beating New Jersey in the last 2 meetings has definitely been an adjustment. They won 8 of 9 before that.

Colorado was 4-5-1 in their L10 in 2022, before the playoffs. Oilers lost their final 2 games and made g7 of the finals last year.
Lightning went 7-3-0 and won their last 2 before getting swept by the Jackets.

I don't believe in that "going in hot" thing anymore. It's more about health and rest.

I think all our help and luck (be it drafting multiple #1 phenoms, winning Cups, great ownership, etc.) has pretty much all run out.

I mean…nothing lasts forever.
