I'm sure the NHL wants division rivalry which is easier when 4 teams make the playoffs but they have to have a formula for when 5 teams in a division make the playoffs.

Coming back from a 4 goal deficit is tough, but the Avalanche do have success in making comebacks.

The Avalanche have set a franchise record with 26 comeback wins, second most in the NHL behind only the Rangers (27)

Colorado has overcome a deficit of two or more goals 10 times and three or more goals on four occasions, both league bests and franchise records…

The Avs rank third in the NHL with 11 third-period comebacks…

The Avs rallied to win six consecutive games from March 12-24, a franchise best and the first team to do that since the 2016-17 Winnipeg Jets (seven straight)…
