I've been watching them quite a bit the last month. They were in deep shit after they got embarrassed 5-1 at home vs Chicago.almost 2 weeks ago.
They haven''t even been competitive since they took us to overtime. That includes playing the worst teams in the NHL.

They tapped out. Probably booking tee times in Florida at this point.

That's gotta be a really low %. Wonder what league average for opportunities are and what leave average for % is. Also I feel like we've been better limiting total breakways against this year compared to previous years but Igor has struggled a bit with them (until recently at least).

Anecdotally, Vesey has personally airmailed at least 2, maybe 3 clear cut breakways this season. Like not-even-close-straight-up-into-the-crowd type of miss.
Panarin had a few where he was waiting for the puck to get to him and had no momentum and the D was about to catch him so he forced a quick shot or deked away from the defender which makes the save easier for the G. Last year CK had a breakaway resurgence somehow cashing in on a number of them, this year he's come up short.

It's pretty apparent Rempe is going to sit when the playoffs begin but I still think he should be playing some of these last remaining games. I also liked Vesey with Mika and Kreider. Sit Roslovic and free Rempe. He better be playing on Saturday.
