GDT: Game #80 - New York Rangers vs Carolina Hurricanes - 7pm EST - MSG (I am Batman edition)

I don't get why fans venture over into opponents GDT. I did that once and got a warning, caps fans didn't like my post. have avoided that since. i did like reading the conversations with that shane from arizona guy though.

So much space on the internet... free to roam...

But for real, I like to check the other teams GDT to learn about what they are up to, trends and strategy. If anything comes up re: the Canes that is let's say misguided or could use further discussion or clarification then there you go. People conversing and learning things. It's a beautiful thing.

Obviously the playoff trash talk is just that... Big boy Ed threw the first jab so just some good clean fun there. No need to get all twisted about it.

Other fans are allowed to come to our board. They are allowed to have *gasp* thoughts and opinions. They are not allowed to troll. Nothing @GIN ANTONIC has said/done makes me think he is here to troll.

The Jennings isn’t exactly a super well known trophy but tonight’s game ahas major implications for it for sure.

Nervous about Igor playing this one. If he gets lit up and doesn't play again till round 1 it could fester. I don't hate it, but it seems like the riskier play here. If he (and the rest of the team) have a strong statement game however, could go a long way too.

Ughhh, i'm already getting those playoff nerves. I love and hate this.

Why are people questioning playing playing Igor? Pretty sure if we win out we steal 1st place and home ice through 2nd round... I could be wrong though, not sure the exact implications.

Well, the Rangers held sway over the Canes for a long period there, 31-9-0 dating back to 2011, so I suspect there's a lot of eagerness to celebrate every success they get.

Evern with the Carolina Rangers having all those former Blueshirts on their team, I think it's more like a "little brother - big brother" thing. Until the teams have a nasty playoff series or two, not sure there's much of a rivalry from the Rangers end.

My post was in jest. I lived in NC for a long time and was just poking fun of one of their older local commercials.

Until the last few years, it was a great place to see games. Cheap, mostly Rangers fans, and before this recent run for them, their fans were/still mostly are nice compared to other fans.

I think NYR have to win out and CAR lose out. They have the ROW tiebreaker.

If you're at all familiar with the Pennsylvania dialect, you wouldn't have raised an eyebrow at this.

Yeah, mine wasn't serious...I've watched games across the country. With the exception of maybe some in Philadelphia, there's great fans everywhere
